Hi and welcome to Day to Day Design! We started this blog to share interesting stories, design ideas, simple step-by-step how-to's, photography and much, much more. We hope our posts will spark your creative side and encourage you to design day to day. So here's a little bio of each of us:
I strongly believe we were all born to be creative. My creative outlet is interior design, art and photography. By trade I am a registered interior designer, but I'm also in love with lifestyle and commercial photography and art. My friends laugh at me because a phrase I use often is "we can make that ourselves". I just love the challenge of creating something beautiful and not having to unload a wallet full of cash.
My husband, my shih tzu, Chloe, and boston terrier, Lucy, and I currently reside in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex. Since we moved in our 1980's track home six years ago we have been in the process of remodeling. It's a long process that I don't think will ever fully be complete. I just know by the time we are finished I will want to redesign. That's just me, though. My parents said while I was growing up they new Tiffany was rearranging the bedroom furniture every time they heard loud objects being dragged across the second story floor. I laugh because it's so true. I probably changed the layout of my bedroom at least once a month. Design has been a passion of mine since before I was old enough to ride the roller coasters at Six Flags.
I hope you find our blog enjoyable and helpful!
Tiffany
Hi, my name is Anna Landers and I currently reside in the Dallas area. I am an interior designer by trade, an artist by nature, a fiction book reader, a work out queen, and a lover of all things that challenge my creative growth. I graduated from Oklahoma State University (go pokes) and have been married to my husband for 7 years. We have a fun loving, but shy 3 year old little girl who is the spitting image of me (which I am excited about). The other day I caught her placing my scarves all over my bathroom and when I asked her what she was doing she said she was decorating my bathroom. I knew she was mine at that point, even though she looks nothing like me. We live in a small little house that my husband and I love, but that I keep changing of coarse. He has come to learn to just smile and say "OK honey."
Tiffany and I have known each other for many years, some of which we have had the privilege to work together. Through our many projects and experiences together we have found that we share a common passion for always being creative. We would like to use this blog to contribute some of what we have learned and are learning as we continue to walk down this exciting path of design.
Please check back with us in the next few days for a new take on tack boards!
Happy Creating,
Tiffany and Anna
